Chris divides his music career between creating, performing, and teaching music. He serves as an clinician and private music instructor primarily in Colorado where he lives, with occasional trips within the U.S. and throughout the world. Over the last decade he has taught music in Special Education Classes, Music Camps, Public Schools, Day Care Centers, Performing Arts Academies, and Music Centers. Chris currently gives private lessons for flute, guitar, saxophone, clarinet, theory, song writing, Ableton Live, and the occasional recorder and piano lesson. He also works with professionals, assisting them in transforming limiting beliefs with Neuro Linguistic Programing (N.L.P.)
Chris has shared the stage and recorded with groups including Nicole Torres, Rhythm Vision, Zebra Junction, Katalyst, Afro Samba, Vegas Witchcraft, Curruptor, and Wonderlic. His musical journey has included performances at Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheater, the famous Jazz Cafe in Costa Rica, the Miazawa Flute Show at Carnagie Hall, some special performances in Europe, for the King of Hawaii Aka Mahi, a psychedelic jam experiment in an abandoned water tank, and endless gigs at pubs, bars, theaters, street corners, and living rooms. Chris's self-titled band Lawhead has put forth several recordings, and he has also produced music for the Dahn Yoga Center and various sound healing projects.
Chris is the founder and mastermind behind Online Music Lab, a diverse collection of video tutorials that users can watch anytime, anywhere.
